This Privacy Policy describes how Pocket POCUS ("the App," "we," "us") — owned and operated by Jennifer Braley — handles information when you use the Pocket POCUS iOS application.

The short version: we don't run our own servers, and we don't sell, rent, or share your personal data. The App keeps your content on your device and uses Apple's iCloud and CloudKit for only two things — delivering the weekly teaching case and (optionally) syncing your personal logbook across your own devices.
We, the developer, do not operate servers and do not collect, store, or receive any personal information, usage data, analytics, advertising identifiers, location data, or health data about you. The App has no account, login, or registration. The App does use Apple's iCloud and CloudKit as described in Sections 2 and 5; any data handled there resides within Apple's infrastructure and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not by us.

This information is stored on your device. If you are signed into iCloud, your logbook and related entries may sync automatically across your own Apple devices using Apple's iCloud key-value storage. That synced copy lives in your personal iCloud account (governed by Apple's Privacy Policy); we cannot access it, and it is never sent to us or to any third party. Deleting the App removes the copy stored on your device.
The App is not designed to collect, store, or transmit patient information, and you should not enter patient-identifying information into the App. The App is a reference and educational tool and is not intended to function as a medical record. Logbook entries are intended to describe your own training and scanning experience, not individual patients.
The App contains no analytics frameworks, advertising frameworks, tracking technologies, or third-party SDKs that collect data. The App does not track you across apps or websites, and it does not display advertising.
Most of the App works fully offline: all scan protocols, probe-positioning guidance, images, cine clips, 3D models, and calculators are bundled within the App. The Case of the Week feature retrieves its content (the question, teaching image, and video clip) from Apple's CloudKit public database, so it requires an internet connection to load new cases; once loaded, a case is cached on your device for offline viewing. These requests go to Apple — not to us — and are handled under Apple's Privacy Policy. The App does not use Google, third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services, and it contacts no servers that we operate (we don't operate any).
If you download the App through the Apple App Store, Apple may collect certain information (such as crash reports or aggregate download statistics) in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy and your device settings. We do not control this collection and may only receive anonymized, aggregate statistics from Apple.
If you voluntarily contact us at pocketpocus@outlook.com, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to mailing lists or share your contact information with anyone.
The App is intended for healthcare professionals and trainees and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
We hold no personal data about you to access, correct, export, or delete. The data stored on your device or in your iCloud account is under your direct control: you can remove logbook entries within the App, delete the App, or manage iCloud data through your device's iCloud settings at any time.
If our data practices change — for example, if a future version of the App introduces a new feature involving data collection — we will update this Privacy Policy and revise the "Last updated" date above before the change takes effect.
